Well I waited until the last minute again to write my blog. Lots has been happening around everywhere stuff!
On the home front – there’s been this outdoor kitty we’ve named Lydia Pumpkin. She’s basically “our cat” – as she hangs out all day long and she gets fed three times a day (more than our indoor cat Morty haha). She’s a really chill cat, and she seems to be a good fit. I think she’s just going to be an outdoor cat though, as she doesn’t want to stick inside too long (even with it feeling like single digits outside). We have been letting her sleep up in the top of the garage at nights which seems to be helping. The other pets are getting along okay with her, they are just “too much” excitement and energy I think. Anyways, here are some pics of her:
I actually participated in a real Pokémon GO event for the first time in a long time. Real meaning I actually went to a park, walked around, did group event things. I have been just a filthy casual in terms of playing, where I basically use my Poke Ball Plus to catch with pressing the button on my lunch walks. For the Go Wild event we did some Gigantamax Toxtricity which took over 20 people to do. It was fun seeing some old faces out doing the event. The Snorlax with the costume was awesome so I did a few of those since I could solo. The Mighty Mons. It was fun to do the events like the old days. Might have to try it again soon.
I have been playing some Pokémon Pocket.. I am not sure how long term this game is.. but I am opening my two packs a day, hitting the dailies, and any other events that pop up.. I am just not actually playing if that makes sense. As in I am not just doing battles for fun, it’s only when there are rewards in place. They need to fix up the meta with some new cards. It seems everyone is locked into three decks that are coin flip to win. It is more of a collection game to me. All that said – add me: 3890580383065407
In card things.. I am trying to rethink my sealed collection. I got into the “collect it all” for a smidgen there, and I have to really dial it in. I am thinking the Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Boxes, Blisters (single, check lane, double, three packs, et cetera), and Build and Battle Kits. Those are the bulk of what I have, and not terrible to store. While I have a bunch of the random collection boxes that take up so much space. I am going to probably trade/sell/open some of the sealed collection to make some space. I am already bascially just buying singles for decks and random Eevee cards here and there (got to work on the every Eevee ever collection).
Playing wise – I have been “running league” more than playing at league.. but I need some GLC in my life. I need to dial back to just 3 or 4 decks and bling them up and learn them. I tried doing all the types, and swapping cards around sucks. I need to stick to some I like for now and master them. I think I am going with Grass, Water, Lightning, and Colorless. I am going to take apart the other types for now and binder them up. Sad that in December there will be two less league nights.
I have a bunch more to type away.. but I am going to miss posting in November if I do that. Maybe I will remember to be better in December (but lots of stuff like GalaxyCon and family things).. Who knows.. oh and that Little Oak Adventures has been sitting too long. Maybe I will finish that tomorrow… oof
